Security+ is the major course which the candidates must have to undergo to prepare for the CompTia Security+ examination certifications (exam number SY0-201). It is an elective or prerequisite to advanced security certifications. The purpose of this course is to enhance the skills of the candidates and to build on their experience professionally with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on any type of computer network.
An IT professionals having good administrative and networking abilities in Windows-based TCP/IP networks and similar knowledge about other operating systems, who are looking to: pursue a career in the field of IT through the acquisition of foundational knowledge of security topics; prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification examination; or use Security+ as the foundation for advanced security certifications or career roles.
6 to 9 months of experience in networking, including configuration and management TCP/IP, and CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, or equivalent knowledge. The candidates might find it beneficial to get foundational information from introductory operating system administration courses.
